It’s amazing what your customers say about your business when we get a group of them into one room and prompt them to talk about aspects of your operations. We organise groups of 8 to 12 into our research rooms (or your rooms) and prompt them through various aspects of your business. We learn where else they shop or visit, why they your competitors, what they think of your facilities and services, what motivates them to purchase from you and what you can do to improve your business. Focus group sessions are an excellent method of identifying possible issues. However, we caution our clients not to act on the results of focus groups alone. Further broad based testing of some of the issues is warranted in most cases. That’s why we recommend follow up telephone research or self completion mail out surveys to larger sample sizes. |
