The business plan/operating plan involves key personnel involved in delivering the plan. By the time the plan is completed and signed off by management staff, your team will understand how the business works, their role in delivering key outputs, the tools needed in delivering the plan and the benefits to the business.

The plan becomes the team’s contract with the business. It forms the basis of performance review for key personnel and provides the basis for management team meetings.

Business plans should be completed each year for the whole of the business, reviewed whenever major changes occur and completed for major initiatives within the business.
