Eighteen months following the devastating flooding in January 2011, Goodna RSL Services Club re-opens its doors to the public. Reconstruction was completed in just over five months following the club securing finance in January 2012.

New features of the club include a new reception, more outdoor areas, complete relocation of the sports-bar and enhancement to the gaming room including a Vegas-style sky ceiling. All of the furniture and fittings were completely demolished so the club is layout is representative of a ‘clean-slate’ approach.

DWS were involved with Goodna RSL at many stages of the process including the initial decision to redevelop on the same site, assistance with finance, grants and insurance, future flood planning and strategic planning. The opening to the public represents a significant milestone in the history of the club and DWS offer congratulations to the board and members for their perseverance in realising a vision for their redevelopment.
